Client Wins Measure 11 Case with Jacob Reynolds

I would highly recommend Jacob Reynolds, for criminal defense. He had my case kind of thrown on him about a year into it. It was a complicated case, a Measure 11, attempted murder 2. I was going to take this case to trial, no matter what. At 58, I really didn’t want to spend the rest of my life in prison, for something I didn’t do.

I looked up the statistics for winning a Measure 11 case in Marion County,  Oregon. I had an 87% chance of losing. Marion County had the highest conviction level in the state.  Was I scared?? Oh yeah. I knew what I was up against, odds of losing, judge prejudiced against me, etc.

Mr. Reynolds spoke extensively with me, explaining my options, how much time I was facing, was I really sure I wanted to do this? And I said, Yes.

He said OK and started gearing up for trial. He and his team thoroughly investigated my case, for awhile. They found discrepancies in the witnesses testimony,  evidence collection, and lack of collection. He found pictures from the scene that didn’t match the detective’s report, and more. He had his investigator contact my family and friends,  my landlady. He left no stone unturned.

Throughout all of this, he kept me informed on a regular basis, he went over with me his strategy and told me to not be offended if he said a few negative things about me. I wasn’t.

I really appreciated how he did not bring up my son’s mental illness during the trial. He merely mentioned, Well, you got to Stanford, and I understand that you’ve had a few difficulties. My son was a witness for the DA.  He caught my accuser in several, obvious, bald faced lies the first time they were on the stand. And he also had police records to prove it.

It was a 3 day trial. He remained composed, and he was frequently going over things with his team, and also trying to reassure me, along with my family.

The jury went to deliberate. They were gone 2 or 3 hours, if that. We got the notice to return for the verdict. We stood up. He told me not to show any emotion. He held my hand and his colleague held my other one. There were 3 charges. They don’t just tell you you’re not guilty or guilty. Every count is read separately.

On count 1, the defendant is found, Not Guilty.

On count 2, the defendant is found, Not Guilty.

On count 3, the defendant is found, Not Guilty.

And just like that, after 2 years of waiting to go to trial, I had my life back. I really don’t believe it would have happened if Mr. Reynolds wasn’t my attorney.  He believed me, made the effort, investigated everything and we won!!!I think it takes a really special,  intelligent and disciplined person to remain calm, not give up, and know what things to look for in a case. Especially a complicated case like this one. And he had to pull this all together fairly quickly.

I have my life back, because of Attorney Jacob Reynolds. I will always be grateful and never forget that.  And I haven’t been in any trouble since then, or actually before then.

Do I recommend him? Yes! 125%. If you want someone who is thoroughly competent, cares, and will win your case, this is the Attorney you want!!

Serious Charges Resolved With Reynolds

I cannot recommend Jacob Reynolds highly enough.

When I was facing extremely serious charges—Sex Abuse in the First Degree and Attempted Sodomy—I had already spent 20 months in custody in Marion County. That time was one of the most stressful and uncertain periods of my life. I went through a full trial with my first public defender while still in jail, ultimately being found not guilty on one charge and facing a hung jury on the other. Even after being released pending further proceedings, the weight of everything I had gone through—and what I was still up against—was overwhelming.

Before working with Jacob, my experience with legal representation left me feeling unheard and unprepared. Communication was minimal, and I never felt fully confident in the direction of my case. That changed immediately when I met Jacob.

From our first conversation, Jacob stood out. He is direct, honest, and doesn’t sugarcoat reality—but that’s exactly what you want in an attorney when everything is on the line. What some might initially interpret as confidence bordering on boldness is, in reality, a deep command of his craft and an unwavering belief in the work he does for his clients.

Jacob hit the ground running in a way I had not experienced before. In a fraction of the time I had previously spent in custody, he worked tirelessly—reviewing evidence, refining legal strategy, and building strong, well-thought-out themes for my defense. He stayed in consistent communication, made sure I understood every step of the process, and double- and triple-checked every detail. That level of diligence gave me confidence and peace of mind I hadn’t felt before.

Most importantly, Jacob treated me like a priority. I never felt like just another case or file on a desk. He provided the level of care, attention, and effort that you would expect from a high-end private attorney. He genuinely cares about his clients, and that becomes clear almost immediately.

Because of Jacob’s work, I was able to resolve my case with a significantly reduced outcome—accepting a misdemeanor charge with no registration requirements. After everything I had endured, that result was life-changing.
Jacob Reynolds is the kind of attorney you want in your corner when everything matters most. He is hardworking, detail-oriented, and relentlessly committed to fighting for his clients. He stands with you, pushes forward for you, and does not back down.

If you are looking for someone who will be honest with you, fight for you, and handle your case with professionalism and intensity, I strongly recommend Jacob Reynolds.

Reynolds Delivers Justice For Ricky

Jacob Reynolds represented my son, Ricky, in a criminal case.  JACOB DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! He conducted a hearing early in the case.  He was well prepared and informed about the case, and after several hours of testimony from the State’s witnesses, he was able to get 5 of the charges dropped.  My husband and I were quite impressed.  He treated us with respect, and genuinely seemed to care about helping our son.  I have dealt with many, many law firms over the past 20 years and have never received this kind of service.

Defense Against Serious Charges

I was very happy to have gotten Jacob to represent me. I had some serious charges, and we went to trial and won. Jacob was very professional, informed me of everything along the way, and kept in good contact. He is very good at what he does. I would give him a 10/10 and would hire him again in the future.

Not Guilty Verdict for Brenda Savage After High-Stakes Federal Case

Brenda Savage endured a four-year legal battle that ultimately moved to federal court due to complex jurisdictional issues following the McGirt v. Oklahoma ruling. Although murder is not typically a federal crime, she faced a federal jury, federal prosecutors brought in from Washington, D.C., and odds that statistically favored conviction.

In 2022, fewer than 1% of federal criminal trials ended in acquittal. Out of nearly 72,000 defendants, only 290 were acquitted. Brenda was one of them.

Jacob Reynolds was relentless in his preparation and unwavering in his belief in Brenda’s innocence. He approached this case with both sharp legal strategy and genuine compassion for our family. Throughout six intense days of trial and the long wait for a verdict, he remained focused, steady, and confident.

When the jury returned a Not Guilty verdict, it was more than a legal victory. It was a mother’s freedom restored, a family reunited, and justice finally served.

If you are facing overwhelming odds and need an attorney who will fight with everything he has, Jacob Reynolds is the one you want standing beside you.

Five stars do not begin to express our gratitude.

-Brenda, Anthony, and Amber Savage
